Mathematics Specialist

Experienced Ex-Teachers or Tutors

Position Available

As a Mathematics Specialist, you must have a mastery of all the Mathematics topics in Singapore's MOE O Level Elementary or Additional Mathematics Syllabus. You must also be able to handle a class of students (up to 10 in a class), providing clear and effective conceptual explanations during lessons and also meeting individual students' Mathematics learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver Mathematics lessons in accordance with our standard curriculum, pedagogy and given resources
• Create your own additional supplementary resources for students' practice and assessment whenever necessary
• Manage a small group of students in a hybrid lesson (up to 10 online and/or physical students)
• Monitor each individual student's learning progress and provide feedback for their improvement in the Mathematics subject
• Build good relationship with each student's parents through updating of student's progress and keeping parents in the loop
• Work independently and being responsible for all students assigned

Minimum Requirements

• At least an undergraduate Degree, preferably in a Mathematics or education related field (NIE/MOE-trained is a bonus)
• Familiar with the Singapore O Level Elementary and Additional Mathematics syllabus
• At least 3 years of Mathematics teaching experience (either in the public sector or private tutoring experience)
• Good command of the English language (written and verbal)
• Able to work on weekday evenings and/or weekends
• Commit to at least an academic year of teaching
• Professional and treat all staff (other tutors, administrative staff etc.) and everyone with respect
• Passionate about teaching Mathematics
