Thank you for joining our lessons at Tim Gan Math Learning Centre. To ensure that we deliver high-quality lessons and help every student achieve their learning goals, please review our updated Terms and Conditions below.
General Terms (Applicable to All Students)
Registration Fee
Registration is currently waived for all students, except for JC2 students enrolling from July onwards, who will be charged a $150 registration fee (inclusive of registration, materials, and online account setup).
Payment Policy
- All students are now under the Term Payment Plan.
- Full-term payment must be made 1 week before the first lesson (as given by the due date in the respective invoice) to secure your seat in the class.
- No deposit is required for enrolment.
- All fees are strictly non-refundable.
- In the event of early termination during the term, a $100 administrative fee will be charged.
- Late Payment Fee: A 5% surcharge may be applied to overdue invoices.

Terms for 1-to-1 Lessons
Lesson Scheduling
Lessons are arranged directly between the student and tutor, with flexibility for adjustments where possible.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
- At least 24 hours' notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged in full.
- In urgent cases (e.g., illness), documentation such as a medical certificate may be required for fee waiver consideration.
- Rescheduling is subject to tutor availability.
Termination of 1-to-1 Lessons
Tim Gan Math Learning Centre reserves the right to terminate or discontinue any further 1-to-1 lessons for students who frequently reschedule or cancel scheduled lessons, as this disrupts the tutor's schedule and affects lesson continuity.
Terms for Group Class Students
Term Payment Plan
- Payment for the full term must be made in advance, 1 week before the first scheduled lesson (as given by the due date in the respective invoice).
- No deposit is required.
- No discounts are offered for term payments.
- Early withdrawal from the term will result in a $100 administrative fee, and no refunds will be provided.
- Missed lessons are non-refundable; lesson materials and recordings (where applicable) will be available through the Online Learning Portal.
Special Conditions
Missed Lessons and Resources
- All students have access to the Online Learning Portal, where materials and recordings (if applicable) are uploaded.
- Missed lessons are non-refundable.
Secondary/IP Students – Holiday Travel
- During the June and November/December school holidays, Tim Gan Math will conduct optional revision lessons for Secondary and IP students. Attendance for these sessions is encouraged but not compulsory.
- During the March and September holiday weeks, regular lessons will continue as usual, and standard lesson terms and fees apply.
JC H2 Math – Revision Packages
- Revision packages (e.g., MYE, Promo, Prelim, A-Level) are billed as full sets.
- Students who opt out will not receive recordings, online access, or full booklets.
- A-la-carte/ad-hoc participants receive only notes for attended lessons, with no portal access.
JC1 H2 Math – October/November Headstart Programme
- The October/November JC2 Headstart lessons are compulsory.
- Students who skip these lessons will be billed at the JC2 rate upon return in January.
Online Learning Portal Access (JC1 H2 Math)
- Students enrolling on or before 30 June receive complimentary access to prior topics.
- Students enrolling from 1 July onwards must pay $40 per Academic Unit (AU) to access topics covered before enrolment.

Behavioural Expectations and Dismissal Policy
Tim Gan Math reserves the right to dismiss any student due to:
- Overdue payments
- Parental non-compliance with centre policies
- Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour
- Conduct that compromises the learning environment
No refunds will be provided in such cases.
Notice of Withdrawal
Students withdrawing from the centre must complete the official Student Withdrawal Form.
Amendments to Terms and Conditions
Tim Gan Math Learning Centre reserves the right to review and amend these Terms and Conditions at any time to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with the centre's operational needs.
Any updates will be communicated through official channels, such as email or our website, and will take effect immediately upon publication.
